Meet the Founder
RedVIP® was founded by Ed Montañes, CEO and visionary of the platform. Ed is a full-stack developer with over 15 years of experience, driven by a passion for rebuilding the connection between local businesses and their communities.
Ed, a Georgia native, began coding informally while studying medicine in Colombia. During his fourth year, he made a crucial decision: to pause his medical career and pursue his true calling as a tech entrepreneur.
In 2016, he founded Goliath Web Agency, where he designed and launched hundreds of websites and mobile apps for businesses in Valdosta and surrounding towns. Through this hands-on work with local businesses, Ed developed a deep understanding of the real needs of small businesses and what traditional technology platforms weren't offering them.
RedVIP® is the result of 15 years of learning, development, experimentation, and studying the real-world workings of Community Commerce. It represents Ed's mission to provide local businesses with the tools, visibility, and digital freedom they deserve, without the limitations and control imposed by Big Tech or e-commerce giants.
